So the weather is back to weird, snow during the week (about 4 inches - that's Steve Jobs, our apple tree, on the left), hot one day, cold and miserable the next … kind of what this past year has been like … And cold today but going up to 27 C ( about 83 F) this coming Tuesday. People have settled down a little with the COVID restrictions … most people obeying the restrictions, but of course there will be idiots Yesterday a golf course opened up for business … even though all were closed by law … and people still went – “I have my shots … so I’m entitled”. The law is the law … you break the law, you can lose your liquor licence … screw it up for other golf courses that are trying to get the government to let them open … and I hope the “entitled” get fined … big time!! Speaking of shots … I got my first Moderna shot last Monday … everything went smoothly (in and out in 40 minutes – picture at left of line up) … and … felt sick as a dog for the next three days But I’m better now and will get my second shot in three months. And speaking of dogs … nine months ago today Doug the Dog arrived!! We think he likes it here now Kelly and I spent yesterday cleaning up the old condo … and taking a truck load of garbage to the dump … our last renter left the place a mess (and owing rent as well) … but the new owners should be closing the sale tomorrow … bye-bye condo after 16 years!! … And next Sunday we will be laying down sod in the backyard (a drought last year and Doug the Dog rototilling it didn’t help) in order to get this house ready for sale!! Okay, on to food … Chicken Curry (with coconut and lemongrass), Mexican Pork Tamale, Steak with baked potato and beans, pasta with meat sauce, etc. – and tonight I’m making Chicken Parmesan with green beans Kelly and I have finished ‘Sneaky Pete’ on Prime … didn’t like it as much as the first two seasons … and it was cancelled, so no Season 4. I’ve been watching ‘Cable Girls’ on Netflix – it’s a little farfetched … that level of empowerment for females and LGBTQ didn’t exist in Spain back in the 1920’s … but it’s enjoyable, so I’ll try not to nit pick too much – I tend to pick apart the historical context of tv shows and movies Corey Connors did well at the RBC Invitational last week – he ended up tied for 4th – that’s good for another $295 K U.S. – and his 7th top ten finish of the season so far!! Nothing really going on the men’s PGA this week – Zurich Classic – pairs of golfers compete against other pairs … boring!! However, on the Ladies PGA Tour …Brooke Henderson of Canada won the LA Open … her 10th career LPGA title!! Congrats!! Got to go … get my chicken ready and watch some Netflix … have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
