Okay, so we went back to warm one day, freezing the next, flowers blooming one day, getting covered in snow the next Stupid weather … warm today for Easter Sunday and should stay warm for the week I called it pretty good last week when I said we were probably heading back to lockdown because of COVID The numbers of infected people started sky rocketing again and Doug Ford (premier of Ontario) imposed a province wide lockdown yesterday – restaurants, gyms, hair dressers, etc. all closed – only grocery stores and some essential businesses (with reduced capacities) being allowed to stay open. A lot of people will be out of work (we are fortunate, we work from home), but this had to be done to try and get the pandemic under some kind of control before it’s too late – and many doctors are already saying it’s too late So before lockdown took place we took a drive to Port Dover on Friday - visited my sister for the first time in months – and took Doug the Dog with us – went through several towns and drove by a couple of houses we thought we might be interested in . Great houses, but out in the country with limited internet – which we both must have for our work – so we will probably wait until something else comes up … And it’s kind of hard to plan our future with all this COVID going on Okay, on to food … a mixture of Spanish, Chinese and Mexican dishes this week; an excellent paella with lots of shrimp, chicken and sausage (it lasted two nights), two types of curry, and Mexican Pork Tortillas with salsa and sour cream I’m not sure what supper will be like tonight – I’ve taken out a two pound beef roast and a pound of ground lamb – probably won’t decide until later what I’m making .Kelly and I are now watching ‘Sneaky Pete’ on Prime … just finished Season 1 – it was excellent, starts slow and then builds intensity with each episode. We are looking forward to Seasons 2 and 3 . I finished Seasons 3 and 4 of ‘Locked Up’ and I am halfway through the spinoff ‘Oasis’. 3 and 4 are darker (but not as good as) the first two seasons. And Season 5 – ‘El Oasis’ is just very, very strange. ‘Bitter Daisies – Season 2’ has just started on Netflix, I guess I’ll watch that next. Golf goes on - The Valero Texas Open is currently underway – 3 out of 6 Canadians made the cut – currently Corey Connors (he won this last year) is in 17th, Adam Hadwin is tied for 39th, and Nick Taylor is tied for 55th) It might seem that they are far behind, but anything can happen – and the Masters is on next week!! I'm still keeping up with my languages ... up to 25 now (10 pretty good, 15 ... mehhh, needs some work) with some new ones like Vietnamese, Cantonese, Czech and Latvian ... a very strange mixture and don't know if I'll ever get to use them, but it keeps my mind occupied 😊 . Got to go and find something to do … have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
