Well, we had summer like weather conditions last week – broke temperature records on Wednesday and Thursday – 17 C and 18 C – okay, doesn’t seem that hot – but this is still March and Canada 😊 … And this week is cold again, with a couple more days of snow coming … but hopefully not as bad as Colorado – they got hammered this weekend!! Feeling a little bit sad today … a year ago yesterday we flew to Mexico … a year ago today we were drinking beer and tequila at a bar on a beach in Mazatlan. … And heading back a week later because of the pandemic scare ☹ But we had a great time while we were there!! … Maybe next year … COVID still at Orange (restricted) here – the numbers keep going up and down, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see us going back to full lock down in April – some places like Sarnia are already back to Grey (full lock down)☹ I started my new job today – buried to the neck in documentation, so I will probably need to use some Visine later. Okay, on to food … still a mixture of odds and ends – BBQ ‘Burgers and Air Fryer Fries; Curried Chicken Livers; Pineapple Mango Chicken; and made Italian Meat Sauce (from scratch) with Fresh Pasta (from scratch); and of course all kinds of smoothies!! 😊  Kelly and I are still watching ‘Longmire’ – we just finished Season 5 and ready to start and finish the last Season – we’ve come this far, might as well finish it off.  I  found a new series on Netflix to watch – ‘Locked Up’ (‘Vis-à-Vis’)  - and it is good. It’s a crime thriller about a young woman wrongfully imprisoned for embezzlement for 7 years -  think ‘Orange Is The New Black’, but in Spanish, and much better. It has won many Spanish / European acting awards over its 5 seasons and I would rate it right up there with ‘Money Heist’. The Players Championship was on this past week – Justin Thomas won not only the tournament, but the largest payoff ever for a PGA event (not including the Fedex Cup) at $2.7 M. U.S.!! I’ll also give a shout out to Lee Westwood – he finished 2nd last week and also finished 2nd this week!! … And he is 47 years old!! Three Canadians made the cut – Adam Hadwin (29th), Nick Taylor (48th) , and Corey Connors – who was 3rd last week – a very respectable 7th for $500 K U.S.!! Got to go … This week has been a pretty short write up (but do you notice how I have been able to squeeze in another 30 or so words 😊) due to time constraints … and the new job … but I’ll make it up next week (and I really have to start adding new recipes and review writeups) 😊 Until then, have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
