October is finally here – and the temperature is par for the course, low to freezing. I’m a little late this week – work keeps getting in the way. Dougie the Doggie has been a big help in roto tilling the back yard – it’s pretty much dirt and mud now ☹ And he seems determined to learn how to climb trees in pursuit of squirrels – I didn’t know dogs could climb. Last night I made a Chinese Chicken Curry – turned out pretty good, but makes for some strange dreams. We had left-over bratwurst casserole last night – made a batch last Saturday – bratwurst, potatoes, sauerkraut and cheese. Last week was a mixture – steaks on the  BBQ with baked potato and peas;  Chicken Picatta with Green Beans; Roast Pork with Roast Vegetables, Tagliatelle with Meat Sauce, etc. . Kelly has been whipping up burgers and a great big pot of chili – probably have that tonight. Kelly and I finished watching Season 1 of ‘Hollywood’ – it was okay, but only seven episodes. We started watching ‘Emily In Paris’ – a light American comedy, it’s not too bad. I am still watching Season 2 of ‘La Reina Del Sur’  on Netflix – 40 episodes so far out of sixty – it’s finally starting to come together, but there are still too many subplots and continuity errors from the first season.  In one episode,  Zurdo Villa – a Mexican Cartel leader and the grandson of Pancho Villa – describes his den to Teresa as the biggest exhibition of Pancho Villa memorabilia in the world. Well, I know that’s not true having been to the Pancho Villa Museum in Durango, Mexico. (picture on the side is me posing with an actual great grand son of Villa taken last year) 😊 I’ve been watching the PGA Tournament Sanderson Farms ) in Jackson, Mississippi = 5 Canadians qualified but only three made the cut - again. Corey Connors was the top Canadian  He ended up in seventeenth, so a small payday ($90 U.S.) . Have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
