I was working on updating my office the other day – adding new monitors, hubs, reorganizing the desk. Only blew up one hub and an old laptop in the process. Dougie the Doggie found out yesterday that he doesn’t like the taste of toads – found one, tried to swallow it but then spat it out, the toad is doing fine – although looked a little shook up. Weather has been pretty cool lately, great for sleeping, autumn has arrived. No golf, again  - weather too cold, and a frost warning☹     Last night we had a seven-pound, seven cheese lasagna – there will be leftovers from that. Not sure what we are having tonight – Kelly said it will be a surprise. Last week was a mixture of BBQ – steaks and pigs without sticks (like a shishkabob, but without the skewers – marinate cubes of pork in Italian dressing, cut up and marinate peppers, onions, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, etc.  and then BBQ all together in a basket), BBQ Drumsticks in Enchilada Sauce with a fresh Caesar SaladShepherds Pie, and left-over Polish Paella. Kelly and I binge watched Season 2 of ‘Family Business’ – a French comedy series about a Jewish French family trying to open the first pot (weed) coffee shop in Paris. Pretty funny, too bad that there are only 6 episodes per season – I bet there will be a Season 3. We stopped watching the Spanish series  ‘Cable Girls’  - couldn’t really get into it. We started watching ‘Ratched’ – about the early years of the head nurse from ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’ – kind of strange but enjoyable. I am still watching Season 1 of ‘La Reina Del Sur’  on Netflix – fifty episodes so far out of sixty-three – and even though it’s Telenovela, it’s a lot of fun to watch. And, also, the actor who played ‘Apache’ in  ‘Wild District’ plays the DEA agent ‘Willi Rangel’ in ‘LRDS’. A large part of Season 1 now takes place in Marbella and Malaga Spain with a few episodes in Medellin Columbia, and Culiacan and Mexico City in Mexico. Talk about virtual travelling – between LRDS and ‘Family Business’ I get to see places I’ve been to and others that I have always wanted to visit. I’ve been watching the U.S. Open = 4 Canadians qualified but only two made the cut. But then again Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson missed the cut also, so a pretty tough PGA Major indeed!! Dechambeau won – his first major – so congratulations out to him. Have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
