Picture in the corner? Zeke the Dog helping with the cooking. Well, so much for Tennessee, they got completely outclassed by Kansas City … So have to wait until next week to find out who wins the Super Bowl … San Francisco or Kansas City … I’ll put my money on K.C. The week was pretty mild weather wise – all that frozen dog poop (courtesy of Zeke the Dog) in the back yard?? Not so frozen any more … quite the mess … glad that that’s Kelly’s job to clean up 😊 I’ve been doing a fair bit of cooking this week … looked up some old favorites from my cookbook collection … short, quick and easy meals … I can do them after work and have them ready in an hour. Let’s see … we have Beef and Broccoli with Oyster Sauce (original recipe from a Wok With Yang cookbook from 35 years ago), Chicken Puttanesca served with Orzo with Fresh Basil and Parmesan, and Swedish Meatballs with Gravy served on fresh pasta.  It was pretty much a mixed bag with watching Netflix series the last couple of weeks … started a couple of English /  American ones; “You” (horrible, watched only two episodes); ‘Safe’ (watched all 8 episodes – so-so, lots of plot holes and bad acting); I continued with ‘Borderliner‘ (last two episodes a waste of time, inconclusive ending) and ‘The Method’ (Russian – gets better with every episode, but Kelly doesn’t like it so I watch by myself) ; and started / finished ‘Ares’ – a short Dutch horror thriller – Kelly liked it, me … meh … was okay but boring. I’ve written some short reviews on the foreign ones on the website … not sure yet if I’m going to do reviews on American / English ones (even though American is kind of a foreign language 😊). Updated some travel phrases for German and Swedish. Getting ready for Mazatlan … seven weeks to go … booked the hotel in Toronto for pre / post flights … confirmed our reservations at El Cid and booked the shuttle to the hotel … looks like it’s going to be busy there … the hotel all booked up solid last two weeks of March. Have a great week … go K.C. (Superbowl Feb 2 – so if Richard Sherman sees his shadow … six more years San Fran goes without)!!
