So Mothers Day is here … in Canada and the U.S. anyways … I believe it’s celebrated on different days over in Europe. When I was growing up in Quebec it wasn’t celebrated at all back then. My mother passed away 28 years ago a week before Mother’s Day so I don’t celebrate it anymore anyways ☹ The day after my mother died I ran a marathon, the week after I ran another marathon, and two weeks before I ran a marathon (in Boston) … I guess people deal with grief in different ways ☹I’m going to keep this week pretty short … are house is going to be listed for sale this week and we’ve been spending a lot of time cleaning, doing the yard, mowing the weeds in preparation for the next week of hell. I call it hell because it will be five days of people going through the house while we are locked in our offices (we both work from home) and trying to make supper at some ungodly hour after the days showings are over. Plus Doug the Dog will have to be kept out of the way as well. But hopefully after all that we will get a decent offer for the house and we can start planning our move to Sparta Line at the end of August 😊 Speaking of Doug the Dog … he’s shown an interest in digging up the new sod that we had put down last week … have to keep him out of that, at least for another week 😊 COVID numbers are going down a little, but I believe they should continue lock down for another 6 or 8 weeks in order to make sure more people are vaccinated and prevent the start  of a fourth wave happening. Kelly should be able to get her  first shot in a couple of weeks so that will be pretty much the whole family done and safe. Nova Scotia is having a hard time … they have imposed a lockdown on people even coming into the province … my nephew Andrew and his family were supposed to be moving there this month – they bought a house in N.S., sold theirs in B.C., and now they are stuck in B.C. without a house and not allowed to move to N.S. for probably another month ☹  Okay, on to food … it was Mexican and BBQ week … pork tostadas with Mexican rice, Mexican Chicken with (you guessed it) Mexican Rice, steaks, burgers, Italian Meatballs with Fresh Pasta (you might notice on the left Doug the Dog's serving in his doggie bowl 🙂 ) … the usual fare! It will probably be all sandwiches this week 😊 Today I’m doing a beef roast with broccoli and mashed potatoes 😊 Kelly and I finished watching ‘Ginny and  Georgia’ on Netflix – it was okay, but nothing special.  We’ve tried watching ‘The Sinner’ on Netflix – very slow and I’m not sure I like it much. I’ve finished all five seasons of  ‘Cable Girls’ on Netflix – they kind of jammed the Spanish Civil War into Season 4 and the aftermath in Season 5 – it was okay but not very accurate historically 😊  I need to find a new foreign language series to watch now. The Wells Fargo Championship is on this weekend. 7 Canadians started – 4 made the cut. None of them  did all that well this week – the best showing was Nick Taylor tied for 35th. There’s a good chance that I won’t be doing an update next Sunday as there will showings that day also, I’ll let you know a week Tuesday how we did!!  Got to go … have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
