So April has come and gone … May is now here … and nothing much has changed as far as self isolation goes. May 1st is celebrated world wide as ‘Labour Day’ 
and remembered here at home as the 27th anniversary of my Mothers death 
… miss you mom, May 2nd as the 27th anniversary of me running the London Waterhouse Marathon the next day … May 4th as ‘Memorial Day’ in the Netherlands … and as ‘May the Forth Be With You’ by Trekkies and geeks everywhere. And May 5th …. Cinco de Mayo … On Taco Tuesday … during the Corona Virus!! I’ll have to dream up something special for supper that night!! Tonight having homemade fish tacos and guacamole … so that is a start . Didn’t really do any new recipes this week as we had all the smoked chicken, pork, and meatloaf from last Saturday’s smoking session. Had the Carbonara on Sunday, Bacon Wrapped Smoked Meat Loaf on Monday, Smoked Pork with Greek Salad Tuesday, Chicken Enchiladas Wednesday, Spicy Pork With Pineapple Thursday, left over Enchiladas with green beans Friday, Smoked Pork Chili yesterday … amazing week for food. I kept up with watching Russian series on Netflix this past week – finished Season 3 of ‘The Sniffer’, excellent … this season focused more on the origins of ‘The Sniffer’ and travelled around more … Russian countryside, Tallinn and Estonia, Kiev. Season 4 should be coming on Netflix soon. So, I hadn’t planned on watching ‘The Sniffer’, as it seemed a little far-fetched … but I really enjoyed it … and there was only one Russian series left on Netflix, and it was Sci-Fi, which I don’t like … but I gave ‘Better Than Us’ a look … it’s like ‘Bladerunner’ and ‘I, Robot’ combined. And of course the main character turned out to be Kirill Karo … ‘The Sniffer’. And the main robot is played by Paulina Andreeva … who was great in ‘The Method’ and ‘Locust’. Lots and lots of really good Russian actors out there. Kelly and I tried to watch ‘Fleabag’ on Amazon Prime – it had rather good reviews … and we had to find something else after 2 shows … it was horrible. Season 3 of ‘Bordertown’ is starting this week … can’t wait for that … one of the best police thrillers on Netflix. Found a whole bunch of digital pictures that I thought I had lost … from 2007 through 2011 … so will have to get those up soon … El Salvador, Panama, Caribbean cruises … they were a lot of fun!! Have to go cut up some fish … guacamole already made …Have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
