Another weird week – Wow!! Temperature records are falling by the wayside these days 😊 November and we’ve been getting temperatures of 21 C (about 73 F ) and up this past weekend and it’s going to continue for another couple of days!! Took a drive around Southern Ontario yesterday … around St Thomas, Wallacetown, Eagle, Wardsville, and Glencoe. Brought Doug the Dog with us … he had a blast!! The picture of him was taken Sunday – the picture of Zeke in the back yard was taken exactly a year ago – can you see the difference in Weather? 😊 ‘Light at the end of the Tunnel’ refers to the U.S. Presidential Election last week – thank God Joe Biden got in, Trump was an embarrassment the last four years – just when you thought he couldn’t get any worse – he did. Hope he doesn’t make an issue over the transition ☹ Last Sunday I made Roast Beef with Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Bacon – added potatoes and parmesan, delicious. Last week ended up being leftovers and a lot of BBQ – Steaks on Friday, Burgers on Saturday, Tonight, Italian Sausage on a bun with lots of potato salad. Last Tuesday was Fish Veracruz and Wednesday I made Pork Stuffed Pineapple and Thursday I made a Chicken with Broccoli and Cauliflower with Oyster Sauce – those were excellent. Kelly and I have been watching ‘Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings’ – a set of eight mini movies based on some of her songs – like ‘Jolene’, ‘If I Had Wings’, etc.. Pretty light stuff, but entertaining … and we’ve always been fans of Dolly – going back to the Porter Wagoner Show 😊 We are looking for some new shows to watch – tried ‘Flaked’ with Will Arnett, uh, pretty bad – didn’t even watch the whole first episode. Last night we started watching Season 2 of ‘Undercover’ – excellent police crime series about arms trafficking in Belgium. I’m Still following ‘Pablo Escobar – Patron del Mal’ – I’ve now done 23 out of 74 episodes. I like it – it’s furthering my drug cartel education and filling some gaps from 1981 through 1994 😊 I watched and finished ‘Love and Anarchy’ – a Swedish dramedy mini-series about the publishing business – light fluff to start, but as with all Swedish entertainment they over analyze their everyday problems and end up getting depressed 😊 I am following the PGA Tournament Vivint Houston Open in California = 4 Canadians qualified (again) but only two made the cut – Mackenzie Hughes (tied for 7th - $229 k U.S.) and Corey Connors (tied for 24th – about $59k. Not too many upsets in the NFL games on Sunday … only two; Seattle losing to Buffalo (worse defense ever – 17 knockdowns of Russell Wilson); and New Orleans overpowering Tampa Bay – okay, not an upset – but 38 to 3 ??) My Seahawks had better rebound against the Rams next week. Go Hawks’!! Tomorrow is Remembrance Day here in Canada – hits a little close to home here; grandfather was in WWI as a Major in the Austrian Cavalry; father was in the Polish Army and Navy in WWII; and I did over 18 years in the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy) – did three Cenotaph duties (88, 89, 90). Have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
