Autumn is finally here – the first few days have been hot and muggy, but it looks like it’s getting colder throughout the next week – high of 12 on Sunday with a low of 3. Dougie the Doggie has given up on toad tasting – just as well, they seem to be avoiding our back yard. He still likes munching on crickets, though. No golf, again - we had free passes, but couldn’t get a tee off time in the morning☹ Last night I made a Mediterranean Chicken dish (chicken, olives, cherry tomatoes, and feta cheese) – turned out pretty good. I’m making a Lamb Kheema tonight, it’s been a while. Last week was a mixture – steaks on the BBQ with baked potato and corn; left-over Shepherds Pie; beef and potato curry; hamburger, tomato, and mashed potatoes; and left-over lasagna with fresh Caesar salad. Kelly and I binge watched Season 1 of ‘Hollywood’ – an American drama series about Hollywood, casting agents, and sex back in the ‘50s and ‘60s. Only 7 episodes – fictionalized characters, with the exception of Rock Hudson. Jim Parsons (Sheldon) of ‘Big Bang Theory’ plays a gay casting agent and was nominated for a primetime Emmy for his role. I am watching Season 2 of ‘La Reina Del Sur’ on Netflix – 10 episodes so far out of sixty – it starts 9 years after the end of Season 1 – Teresa Mendoza has been hiding out in Italy with her daughter – until her daughter gets kidnapped and all hell breaks loose – again. It’s not bad – but way too many sub-plots. Filmed in Italy, Mexico, Spain, Washington, and Russia. The dialogue has been in Italian, Spanish, English, and Russian – my head hurts from doing the simultaneous translation. I’ve been watching the PGA Tournament ( Corales Punta Cana )in the Dominican Republic = 5 Canadians qualified but only two made the cut - again. Mackenzie Hughes was tied for the lead with one hole left – and blew it. He ended up in third, so still a good payday ($276 U.S.) . Have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
