End of  October and beginning of November is usually a strange mixture - Devils for  Halloween, Saints for All Saints / All  Souls, and top it off with remembering the dead on the 2nd - 'Día De Los Muertos'. Well, the weather has finally settled down – maybe – it  was pretty cold during the last few  nights and there were a few snow squalls, a couple of inches expected today. But of course it will warm up during the week and be back to 15 C next weekend (about 60 F). It’s kind of hard to decide what  to wear in the morning – oh, never mind, I work from home , so  doggie jammies and t-shirts  it is!! 😊 Last Sunday I made a Pork Roast with Braised Red Cabbage – it turned out pretty  good, standard Autumn fare. During the week we had Lamb Korma; (also known as  Koftas); Indian Beef Curry; Kelly made a  Chicken Salsa Verde last night; and lots  and lots of  leftovers. Kelly and I have been watching some episodes of ‘Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings’ – little mini-movies named and done after some of her songs, like ‘Jolene’, ‘Two Doors Down’, etc.. They aren’t that bad – good family fare and decent  country songs. We also watched a German mini-series 'Holiday Secrets' - family secrets that come out around Christmas time - it was  pretty good. I started watching some Columbian series on Netflix; ‘The Great Heist’ – based on a true story about the biggest bank  robbery ever, $40 million U.S. in todays money; and ‘Pablo Escobar – El  Patron Del  Mal’ – 74 episodes about the rise and fall of one of the greatest (and baddest) cartel leaders ever. With all the other  drug cartel  series  that I have watched I figure I’ll be  able  to do a doctoral dissertation once I’m finished ‘PE – EPDM’ 😊 I am following the PGA Tournament Bermuda Championship in *surprise* Bermuda.  4 Canadians qualified (again) and 3 made the cut – they are all in the top 15 right now, hope they finish higher. I  like  Bermuda – over  the years  I’ve been there 7 times while in the Navy, 2 times running the Bermuda Marathon (14th place in 1987, 8th in 1988), and 1  cruise on the old Pacific  Princess (Love Boat My Ass!!  - that’s another story) back in 2002.  Although the beaches are tiny, they still rank amongst the most beautiful in the world. I wouldn’t mind  going back there on another cruise someday 😊 I’ll be watching my Seahawks play again this afternoon – they blew it last week against Arizona – they are playing San Francisco today, but with so many injuries I’m thinking  they might lose again ☹ But. Go Hawks’!! You never know. Have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
