Last week was hot and sticky – had to use the air conditioner. The past week was a mixture of old favorites ; Monday, Roast Beef with Roasted Vegetables; Tuesday Chicken Cordon Bleau with Asparagus; Wednesday, Kelly made pizza (from scratch) and chicken wings; Thursday, Pork Burritos and Guacamole; Friday, Steak, Asparagus, and Garlic Mashed; Saturday, Thai Green Curry Chicken and Rice; last night Enchilada BBQ’d Chicken with Caesar Salad. This week I might try experimenting with smoked meat in ravioli, perogies, and maybe empanadas. On Netflix I finished Season 2 of ‘Unauthorized Living’ – Season 2 is even better, although because of ending there won’t be a Season 3; finished Season 4 of ‘Rita’ – excellent comedy drama –will have to wait until September for Season 5. Kelly and I watched Seasons 1 and 2 of “The Kominsky Method” with Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin – very, very funny and very well done 😊. We started watching Season 1 of “Frankie and Grace” with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin – what wives do when their husbands leave them for each other – 4 more seasons to go, should keep us busy for a couple of weeks. Now I have to find something else to watch – maybe a new Polish series – ‘The Woods’. On Saturday we did another road trip through Southern Ontario – this time went west on Highway 3; down to St. Thomas, then through Shedden, Iona, Wallacetown and down to Port Glasgow – where we walked around the marina – up 103 to Rodney, Wardsville – first time through town, although been to the golf course a hundred times – over to Newbury – other towns had Canada flags on the lamp posts, Newbury had skunks?? – took a wrong turn so over to Bothwell – where apparently they have ‘Dicks for Sale’ – back through Wardsville because of wrong turn – then Glencoe, Appin, Mt. Brydges, Komoka and back home to London – a 4 hour drive altogether 😊 Next week we might try north of London – Exeter, Clinton, Bayfield, etc. next week. Until then, have a great and safe week … we will see you in a bit!!
