The week was fairly quiet … first full week of work in about six weeks … so much fun that I stocked up on lottery tickets (Baby Boomers pension plan). I watched the 2 Saturday NFL divisional games yesterday … Minnesota imploded; you can’t recover from an interception followed by a fumbled punt return that pretty much handed San Francisco 14 points. I enjoyed watching Tennessee beating the favorite, Baltimore. Picked that game right in the playoff pools. Now, if Seattle can just beat Green Bay tonight … probably won’t happen, but I can dream
I know, picture at left is 5 years old ... but it's a good one!! I took it easy today … walked Zeke the Dog twice, baked a 5-pound 5 cheese lasagna (picture at left is old one also ... but lasagna still in the oven)… lots of leftovers for through the week. We have watched the last couple of episodes of Hotel Beau Sejour … excellent finale, and it’s kind of cool that they throw in a little recap reel at the very end that shows how everything linked together. There’s going to be a season 2 with a new storyline and different actors … can hardly wait for that!! Okay, so now we had to find a new series to watch … we look at the ‘more like this’ link that shows about 10 other shows … look at the writeup for the first one on the list … ‘Tabula Rasa’ (Latin for blank slate) … okay, looks good … and it turns out to be another Belgian mystery thriller! I tell you … these Belgians are doing pretty good work!! Only 9 episodes … and we finished last night … but it will keep you guessing all the way through. Still studying my languages for two hours a day, minimum – can’t break the routine of covering 12 a day, but my Spanish is picking up pretty good … so’s my Indonesian; don’t know why I keep studying that … won’t be able to use it for another 11 months. Starting to dream in different languages … very confusing. I finally got the last season of Game Of Thrones on Blu-ray … never watched the show or read the reviews … so hopefully I’ll enjoy it … going to watch the first episode now.
