Here’s another memory from 3 years ago on the Celebrity Eclipse. Yup, that’s Kelly again, playing in the fountain. And four weeks today will be our first day on Celebrity Silhouette sailing from Miami for 12 glorious days. I’ve been brushing up on some of the languages that I hope to be using on the cruise – last year’s cruise on Silhouette I was able to practice Indonesian (with the bar tenders and other ship’s crew), Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish – lots of Scandinavian passengers that trip. Silhouette is just finishing up her transatlantic crossing this week – I believe today she is in Bermuda (great island, been there about 10 times). Kelly and I watched a new series - Season 1 of High Seas on Netflix (Alta Mar – Spanish with English subtitles, 8 episodes) , season 2 airs on November 22. I’ve also just started watching a crime series Bordertown on Netflix (Finnish with English subtitles, 2 seasons, 32 episodes) – the show is excellent, it’s done in 2- or 3-part stories with an underlying evolving subplot throughout. I like watching foreign shows on Netflix, it helps me with my languages … and for the most part they have better plots (and acting) than American ones. I’m planning on adding reviews of foreign Netflix shows to this site. And I’m adding some new travel phrases as well. Oh, I added a new recipe … Sole Filets a la Breton … modified from a Julia Child recipe … I mean Julia’s okay, but her recipes need a little tweaking, you know … that I think you might enjoy
