A Little This … A Little That … First Week of July …

Very hot and muggy last week – and it will probably continue through to Thursday this week. Humidex is up around 36 Celsius – about 97 Fahrenheit. I celebrated Canada Day by going golfing – first time this year. Went down to Wardsville to visit the chipmunks – I was pretty bad the first nine, started to warm up on the last. It was strange golfing with the new rules – can’t touch the pin, golf carts need a divider between the driver and passenger, etc. It wasn’t too bad – played it out in just over 4 hours. Kelly and her sister went to the beach in Port Stanley last Thursday – it wasn’t too crowded and they had a great time. They are going again today – you have to make the most of good weather around here in the summer time. The past week supper was a mixture of old favorites and a couple of new ones; Monday, Lamb Curry with Naan; Tuesday Shrimp and Chicken Carbonara with Smoked Meat; Wednesday, BBQ Pork and Rice with Asparagus; Thursday, Leftover Veal Stroganoff; Friday, leftover Shrimp and Chicken; Saturday, Thai Green Curry Chicken; and tonight Tenderloin Steaks and Baked Potato.. On Netflix Kelly and I have continued watching ‘Frankie and Grace’ - two seasons down, three more to go. I ‘ve continued watching ‘Surviving Escobar’ – I’m up to episode 22, 38 more to go. After episode 18 the plot kind of devolves down to 2 or 3 episodes on a new story. On Saturday we were supposed to do another road trip through Southern Ontario – this time through St. Marys and Stratford, etc. – but we got sidelined on a two-hour telephone call that might result in some other trips this week.
