Basic BBQ Rub

A spicy rub that you can use on chicken, pork, beef, ribs for smoking or barbequing. Smoky with a little bit of a bite. Adjust the proportions to taste to make spicier or sweeter.

Ingredients

2 tbsp. Chile Pepper

½  tsp. Ground Chipotle Pepper

3 tbsp. Paprika

1 tbsp. Smoked Paprika

1 tbsp. Garlic Powder

1 tbsp. Onion Powder

1 tsp. Mustard Powder

1 tsp. Dry Thyme

1 tsp. Dry Sage

1 tsp. Dry Oregano

2 oz. Brown Sugar

1 tbsp. Ground Black Pepper

1 tbsp. Kosher Salt

Preparation

  • Mix all of the ingredients together
  • Stir in an airtight container until ready to use.

Note: BBQ rub keeps for up to 3 months when stored in a cool, dry place
